Facebook fans

Overview

A Geckoboard widget that tracks changes in the number of fans of a Facebook page.

Changes since the previous day display as a secondary stat.

Installation

  1. Login to your Geckoboard and add a new widget
  2. Select 'Custom widgets' and then 'Number & Secondary Stat', either standard or large size depending on your preference
  3. For URL data feed, enter:

    http://geckoboard.appspot.com/widget/facebook_fans/YOUR_FACEBOOK_PAGE_NAME

    where YOUR_FACEBOOK_PAGE_NAME is the name used of your Facebook page, e.g. Google in the case of http://www.facebook.com/Google
  4. For API key, enter:

    1234567890

  5. For widget type, select Custom
  6. For feed format, select JSON
  7. For reload time, select your preference (15 minutes recommended)
  8. For label, enter your preference, e.g. 'Facebook fans'

Note: Currently, this widget only supports 'Number & Secondary Stat' mode.

Twitter followers

Overview

A Geckoboard widget that tracks changes in the number of people following a Twitter account.

Changes since the previous day display as a secondary stat.

Installation

  1. Login to your Geckoboard and add a new widget
  2. Select 'Custom widgets' and then 'Number & Secondary Stat', either standard or large size depending on your preference
  3. For URL data feed, enter:

    http://geckoboard.appspot.com/widget/twitter_followers/YOUR_TWITTER_SCREEN_NAME

    where YOUR_TWITTER_SCREEN_NAME is the screen name of your Twitter account, i.e. the name people use to "@-reply" you
  4. For API key, enter:

    1234567890

  5. For widget type, select Custom
  6. For feed format, select JSON
  7. For reload time, select your preference (15 minutes recommended)
  8. For label, enter your preference, e.g. 'Twitter followers'

Note: Currently, this widget only supports 'Number & Secondary Stat' mode.
Also, Please be aware that this widget is currently subject to rate-limiting by the Twitter API, which may result in follower stats occasionally being unavailable. This is hopefully only a temporary setback until the app is white-listed rate-limiting has now been lifted, thanks to apigee!

Klout score

Overview

A Geckoboard widget that tracks changes in your Klout score.

Changes since the previous day display as a secondary stat.

    where YOUR_TWITTER_SCREEN_NAME is the screen name of your Twitter account, i.e. the name people use to "@-reply" you

Overview

A Geckoboard widget that displays what's now playing from a Last.fm account.

  2. Select 'Custom widgets' and then 'Text', either standard or large size depending on your preference
  3. For URL data feed, enter:

    http://geckoboard.appspot.com/widget/lastfm_nowplaying/YOUR_LAST_FM_USER_NAME

    where YOUR_LAST_FM_USERNAME is the username you use to log into Last.fm
  4. For API key, enter your Last.fm API key (get one here)
  5. For widget type, select Custom
  6. For feed format, select JSON
  7. For reload time, select your preference (3 minutes recommended)
  8. For label, enter your preference, e.g. 'Now playing'

Note: Currently, this widget only supports 'Text' mode.
